The STARMANS DIO 2000 Cylinder Testing Device is automated system designed for ultrasonic testing of gas cylinders and pressure vessels. Our standard stationary testing device is suited for both automated production lines (in-line testing) and manual or service periodical re-qualification of cylinders (off-line testing). With our device you achieve better results in detecting of wall thickness separation, cracks and undershooting of the wall thickness. Norms for cylinders and pressure vessels testing:

The device has been designed to comply generally with the requirements of standards for cylinders and pressure vessels testing, as for instance ISO 11439 and EN 1964 1 (Testing the pressure vessels with ultrasound), EN ISO 9809, EN 10246-6, EN 10246-7, BS 5045, SEP 1915, SEP 1918.

Mechanics:

The device is compact, durable and consists of rigid frame, testing tank, and zone for loading/unloading cylinders, rollers for rotating cylinders, probe holder(s), water and pressure air systems.

Electronics:

The electronic part of the STARMANS DIO 2000 Cylinder Testing Device controls all mechanical functions and processing of ultrasonic signals from the probes. All electronic elements and UT cards are module-wise composed and connected in cabinet. All ultrasonic parameters can be set up for each channel individually.

Control and Software:

The system is controlled by PLC Siemens using a touch screen panel. In addition the device can be connected to a network of company. Software for DIO 2000 has been developed for control and displaying and has the following features: settings, measuring, monitoring the data and calibration. It is user-friendly and easy to operate.

Records:

The system enables to make analysis, statistics, and reports for further evaluation, large data basis and printing. The records can be arranged according to a customer´s special request.
